This lock-out relay is a two position device opened or closed and reset or trip. Used in electrical power systems applications of protection, where receiving an electrical signal of voltage, drives immediately, changing the state.
This change in position of the relay, also makes changing the electrical state of contacts, sending electrical signals to different protection and signaling instruments, such as: alarm boxes, switches opening of primary and secondary circuits, in order to protect the electrical system.
By design of the relay, the position Reset is held with a mechanism via a permanent magnet and the trip occurs when an energized coil releases the mechanism, by rotating the trip position and therefore changing the electrical state of the multiple contacts. Resetting the relay, is changing the trip position to the normal position, this change is manual. This line of relays by design is very reliable and fast drive. It is manufactured and meets all the requirements of NOM-j-361 and specification CFE G6800-59.
Depending on the required electrical contacts sequence, there are two versions of this relay, one of the cam type and other heavy duty or rotor. Approved before the Federal Commission of Electricity- LAPEM, with registration No. K3115-13-E / 5812, for the cam type and registration No. K3115-13-E / 5811, for the heavy duty type or rotor.
